The research problems of the programme are integrated into actual and prospective topics of contemporary psychological research including also transcisciplinary and interdisciplinary issues in psychology. The programme encompasses the investigations of problems that are actively studied by our scientific potential, especially by researchers involved in international projects or other kinds of international cooperation. In the programme, special attention has been devoted also to the questions, which concern nationally and culturally specific areas of our psychology. Among the major results of the research within the scope of the programme we could mention the findings related to the research of personality, values, self-concept, cognition and intelligence, psychometry and others findings from the developmental, social, organizational, educational and clinical psychology. A number of empirical studies have been accomplished in relation to the basic personality dimensions, dimensions of cognitive and intellectual functioning, motivation, emotion, self-concept and self-esteem, further in relation to the basic dimensions of personal values, perception, leadership behavior, metacognition, and self-regulative behavior. Other studies included in the programme have been focused on methodological and psychometric issues, and also on some special problems in the scope of the applied psychology (psychodiagnostics, psychotherapy, educational and organizational psychology).
