The results of the Control of Electromechanical Systems' research programme were presented to the International Research Society and were well received resulting in numerous quotations being given. The results were than transferred to the end users in the industry and to the undergraduate and graduate educational programmes. More efficient fulfilment of Slovene development objectives have been reached in the field of increased research work quality and quicker implementation of new technological demanding products into production. The results also contributed to more efficient production and consumption of electrical energy. The numerous theoretical results from the framework of the first part of the research programme are ready for transfer to production (the system of active magnetic bearings, the new system of non-linear high performance contol of servodrives, the non-linear torque control of induction machines, etc). The results obtained within the framework of the second part of the research programme support the national priority of an icreased availability of electrical energy supply, obtained by the use of a new generation of protection relays with better parameter setting and adaptive controls. The research group, as a team, established very strong collaboration with research partners in Europe and USA confirmed by a number of common publications. The researh group afore mentioned was responsable for knowledge transfer from the foreign research institutions to the Slovene industry.
