- The knowledge of interdependence between fibres' structural indicators and their reactivity allows the understanding of phenomena in technological processes and contribute to the development of new environmental friendly processes with smaller use of chemicals (dyes, surfactants, bleachers, etc.) and energy, their optimisation and control. This also directly contribute to the reduction of expenses and assurance of higher competitive position because of high degree quality achievement and rise of added value for special textile materials. - Introduction of technologically, ecologically and quality-optimised processes to Slovenian textile factories. The incorporation of colorimetrical and computer recipe prediction systems in production processes, which enables qualitative preparation of dyeing processes, objective quality control and better competitive position in the market. - Introduction of digital printing technology to textile printing process of Tekstilna tovarna Prebold: improvement of prints quality, reduction of production costs and response times, reduction of thickeners, dyestuff consumption, energy and environment pollution: - Application of digital textile printing technology for print of the replica of a textile museum exhibits of the Maribor Museum of National Liberation: preserving of the culture heritage; - Rheological study of environmental friendly non-ionic surfactants, polysaccharide thickeners and dyes in printing of cellulose fibers, reduction of production costs and minimizing wastewater pollution; - New method for free formaldehyde detection was introduced - HPLC method where separation was performed on RP C 18 column with water-MeOH as a mobile phase. It was shown that the limit of quantitation was improved using HPLC method drastically. Concentration range obtained by HPLC method was from 6 mg/kg to 30 mg/kg. - Synthesis of new fluorescence dyes (optical brighteners, protein labels, DNA labels, identification and classification of cells, biomarkers) - Synthesis of advance organic polyfunctional materials which are not common in Slovenia: new conducting materials with low specific weight and price. - Results obtained from the studies regarding textile wastewater treatment would be crucial in designing treatment plants (comparison of the three processes H2O2/UV, H2O2/O3, H2O2/Fe2plus) - Setting the basis of new alternative textile care procedures in laundries and dry cleaner's in Slovenia that will comply with existing regulations in EU. - Setting the basis of implementing continuous hygiene monitoring v Slovenian laundries thus increasing the washing quality and hygiene. - Introducing procedures for wastewater treatment thus decreasing the wastewater pollution. - Introduction of new on-line and in-situ sensors for determination of technical (H2O2) and ecological parameters (pH, O2) allows optimization, quality and control of technological processes and environment.
