We researched and prepared for publication the Mesolithic site of Viktorjev spodmol on the Karst and additionally researched the Mesolithic site of Mala Triglavca. We completed reconnaissance of the entire area of the Dolenjsko Hallstatt group. We conducted trial excavations at seven high altitude settlements and published the results in four basic papers. We published a monograph on the Hallstatt necropolises of Dolenjsko and a monograph on the settlement of Dolnji Lakoš and the Late Bronze Age between the Mura and Sava. We prepared a review of the development of Roman provincial archaeology in Slovenia since 1965. A study of the hoard of Roman republican weapons from Grad pri Šmihelu below Nanos was completed and an article prepared on metallographic analyses of selected items of iron weaponry from the same hoard. Work continued on the Basic Database of Archaeological Sites of Ptuj. We published a review of the development and topography of Poetovio. Studies on cult vessels and on a hoard of silver rings from the 3rd century were also based on material from Roman Poetovio. The early Roman settlement at Dolge njive by Vrhnika was studied in detail by geophysical methods. The results essentially supplement the ground plan of Roman Nauportus as it is known to date. We have written a Guide to the Lapidary of the National Museum of Slovenia. We completed and published a monograph on the multilevel settlement of Tinje above Loka pri Žusmu, with an extensive analysis of funerary pottery in the eastern Alpine area. We continued systematic research in Tonovcov grad and Ančnikovo gradišče, which is reflected in a number of articles and an extensive guide. Analysis of sites at Altenerding, Puščava and Lauterhofen provides the basis for determining a more detailed time frame for early medieval material in Slovenia and with new methods a more profound understanding of historical processes that have left their traces in archaeological material. The documentary system that has been set up (http://zrcalo.zrc-sazu.si/zbiva/; http://www.zrc-sazu.si/www/iza/libera.htm) facilitates management of the archaeological cultural heritage, contributes to the scientific infrastructure of the profession and to informing the interested public about new discoveries
