The results achieved by the research team contribute to the basic knowledge of several aspects of the Slovene language: its structure, history, dialectology, its functioning as a standard national language, its teaching as a second/foreign language etc. The results are immediately transferred into textbooks and reference books and implemented in teaching Slovene at all levels. They are the expert foundation for decision-making in language planning, policy and culture. The results achieved in the field of Russian and Croatian contribute to a higher quality of foreign language teaching and translating.
