Kyoto: 300.000 new working places for European construction industry in next 10 years - opportunity or illusion for SloveniaSlovenia and in EU as her formal environment need the improvement of energy response of buildings. Energy import dependency is proximally the same by both, more than 70%. Energy sector is emitting more than 90% of CO2. Potential fields for rational use are: natural illumination (consumption 14% of all energy in tertiary sector, with possible saving of 30-50% with the use of more efficient components, control systems, integration of daylight), cooling (momentary trends: double increase of air condition devices until 2020 and possible savings of 25%), green energy production (renewable sources), bioclimatic design (possible savings up to 60%). The proposed project field is tied to the quoted statements and connected (big) opportunities for the development of the technology, first of all in the field in integrated energy performance of buildings (closely linked: thermal insulation-heating-cooling-ventilation-natural illumination). The program of the research teem is linked to the program of EC 6.FP, 6.1 Sustainable energy systems, in v okviru njega na 6.1.3.1.2. Energy savings and energy efficiency, 6.1.3.1.2.1. Eco-buildings in 2. Information Society technologies, 2.3.2.10 eInclusion.
