With high technology knowledge, future development, interdisciplinarity, integration and intelligent systems and knowledge transmission into enterprises we succeeded to reach higher ground for Slovenian economics. High technologies and intelligent solutions in manufacturing systems lead toward higher productivity, rapid response and flexible adjustment to rapidly changing market conditions. Control and development of high technologies and processes enables that we can practically be comparable with the highest developed countries in the world. With originality of solutions and their practical realization and publications in international scientific and professional journals we have been recognized worldwide. The results of the research work of rapid prototyping enable a rapid and efficient knowledge transfer from our institution into economy. Rapid prototyping technology assures shorter time between product design and manufacturing, which is very important for the Slovene economy. The results of the research work from the modeling and optimization field enable a rapid response and concurrence precedence. For instance, evolutionary system for forming tools cost prediction enables manufacturers that they can foresee the costs for tool manufacturing. This makes them more concurrent. This production field is one of the most important and perspective in Slovenia. Furthermore, the system for material properties prediction enables a better understanding of forming laws and assures a higher quality of the products. Results from the cutting field are also very important in optimization of the manufacturing according manufacturing time and costs. Above all, introducing modern cutting materials into cutting processes assures Slovene manufacturers a higher concurrency with higher efficiency of machine tools and a higher product quality. In seeking for the production resources, many manufacturers use our researches in different ways: direct tests for concrete projects, constructor and performers education, advising on different concrete problems. Previous experiences show that optimization of the cutting process decreases manufacturing costs up to 30%. Results of our research enables a high precision production, with minimal faults, lower manufacturing costs, a high product quality, an easier transfer of manufacturing data and technologies and ecologically faultless production. With implementation of adaptive regulator drives of machine tools we contributed to development of energy saving technologies, to higher dynamics and accuracy in the field of home engine building. Our contribution encourages concurrency of home products and enables a pace with worldwide high technology trends.
