I. Better knowledge of passivation processes of different heat treated stainless steels and deeper recognition about stress corrosion cracking and repassivation in crevices are mostly important as well in the choice of appropriate steel for process equipment as for the later maintenance. Important achievement of the research programme are also new researchers in the field, who are pursuing fundamental and applied research (ZAG Ljubljana). II. On behave of simple preparation and favourable prices ionoselective electrodes have great perspective of use in stationary and flow systems (FIA - flow injection analysis) in tracing the production of some pharmaceutical product as vitamin C, glutathione and penicilamine. A further possibility of electrode-use are diagnostically laboratories. III. We have extensively studied the compatibilization method for immiscible polymer blends as well as structure/property relationships of multiphase polymer composites with improved properties. The research findings have a crucial role for the production and processing of polymeric materials with improved stiffness/strength/toughness balance as well as for the production of secondary polymeric raw materials with specific mechanical properties. IV. Studies on polymeric asymmetric porous membranes formation by wet phase inversion and on their further chemical modification come to the period when it would be meaningful to make some preliminary economic analysis for eventual production of special, chemically modified polymeric membranes.
