The radio program aimed to present CD on folk songs from the Rába Valley highlighted the most characteristic features of folk song tradition from that region, especially religious songs. The focus was on different ritual songs and prayers, on old Easter song “Christ Is Risen from the Dead for Us” and on Epiphany carol “Oh, Three Kings” which holds the traces of Protestantism. Within this presentation, some other carols which contain Christian and Pre-Christian elements have been revealed.

Attention is drawn to the fact that the evaluation of historical recordings requires interconnection and cooperation at various levels – that is, between various experts (such as ethnomusicologists, technicians, archivists, historians, and so on), between audio archives and the local communities in which the recordings were made (to obtain metadata in content, history, and other areas), and between various audio archives (exchange of knowledge, experience, and technology). This is characteristic also for the early sound recordings from Prekmurje and Rába Valley.
