In the research we examined the effect of cross-linked flagellin and oligonucletides to peptides forming coiled-coils on activation of TLR5 and TLR9 receptor. We showed that agonists cross-linked to CC-peptides preserved the characteristics of agonists and that CC-peptides can be used as cross-linkers for agonists.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1537134531We demonstrated that flagellin activates not only TLR5 but also inflammasome by binding to the receptor NAIP5/NLRC4. We showed that the C-terminal part of flagellin is critical for activation of inflammasome. This work confirmed that flagellin could be used as activator of membrane and cytosolic receptors of innate immunity.
