On international workshop examples of 3D scanning of different geological materialsby by means of X-ray computed microtomography and 3D image analysis AVIZO FIRE were presented. Keynote speakers were Tadeja Muck with a lecture about 3D printing and Gaby Stoeckel and Peter Westenberger, experts for 3D image analysis.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2223975OREVAL is a European Network of facilities and experts for primary and secondary raw materials characterisation. 11 partners are included in this network, including Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute. The main objective of OREVAL is to enable acces to first class equipment in area of raw material research and to support education activities. It also enable exchange of the latest knowledge based on national and institutional activities among experts.

The VISUAL3D is European network of infrastructure and knowledge is an initiative by EIT Raw Materials and aims at bringing together partners with 3D-4D-visualisation infrastructure and 3D-4D-modelling experience. The recently formed network collaboration interlinks hardware, software and expert knowledge in modelling visualization and output. A special focus will be the linking of research, education and industry and integrating multi-disciplinary data and to visualize the data in three and four dimensions
