The scientific monograph is a result of the EU project, which examined the possibility of applying legal remedies in the state of origin and enforcement against judgements issued in accordance with the Brussels Ia Regulation - Recast (Regulation No 1215/2012 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgements in civil and commercial matters). Since the Regulation abolished the exequatur, the issue of possible remedies is crucial to its success. Based on a study that was carried out in the EU Member States on the basis of a questionnaire, the monograph deals with fundamental issues relating to the problem of legal remedies: the concept of enforcement title, certification of enforceability, provisional measures, adaptation measures, legal remedies, grounds for refusing recognition and enforcement, costs, obstacles to enforcement based on national particularities and practical examples. The monograph is an important tool for the application of the regulation within the EU.

COBISS.SI-ID: 5579819The book is a collection of contributions presented at the 24th traditional conference Corporate Entities at the Market and European Dimensions. The added value of conference proceedings were sessions about open issues regarding corporate entities and international sessions, which brought together internationally reknown experts from Slovenia and abroad in a discussion on certain open important questions in the field of cross-border disputes, related to the implementation of Brussels I Regulation (recast). The most controversial and interesting topics, which were discussed at the conference, were prepared and published in conference proceedings, with the intention to enable access to some relevant conclusions to a broader public and hopefully to contribute to the increase of legal certainty.

COBISS.SI-ID: 15394129The contents of the conference book "Medicine, Law and Society - the Globalization of Medicine in the 21st Century" refers to current issues that link medicine and law. Nowadays, artificial intelligence and robots already plan an important role in medicine, however, it is expected to further increase in the future. Although, they are usually linked to precision, consistency and the possibility of a wide field of knowledge, there remain unanswered questions, both medical (e.g. Can a doctor be replaced by a robot?) as well as legal (e.g. Who is responsible for the damage caused by an autonomous robot?) ones. In conference book are also emphasised issues related to medical, legal, sociological and ethical issues in connection with biomedicine and the importance of vaccination in a modern society. Those topics were presented at conference Medicine, Law and Society in addition to open access of the content of the conference proceedings.
