Existing mooring place "Petrol" is unsafe for berthing of existing tankers. Several incidents has already happened in the past. The study analyses in detail the current situation, new berthing layout is presented following international guidelines and recommendations as well supported using advanced simulations.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2772579The project deals with the nautical and structural sustainability of the mooring berth planned for the reception of the largest oil product tankers in the Port of Koper at “Petrol” berth. Full mission real-time simulation method was applied to analyse tanker-berthing and passing interaction between Ro-Ro and moored tanker.
