The members of the Programme Group worked out the combined system for off-line optimization and adaptive control of high speed milling with difficult identifiable dynamics, which was selected by the Slovenian Research Agency as an exceptional scientific achievement in 2012. The potential effects of the achievement, developed for the leading Slovenian toolmaker are: To prevent the improper selection of cutting parameters; to achieve a shorter processing time; to increase the tool life of the milling tools; to increase the quality of the machined surface; to relieve the machine tool operator; to eliminate the unpredictable effects of human factors in decision- making and monitoring. With this achievement, we fulfilled the set goals from the economy, solved the problem of transfer tools` manufacturing and provided faster, more precise and economically justified production of metal sheet forming tools. In this way, we contributed innovatively to the competitiveness of Slovenian companies on the European and global markets. Research results contribute to increasing the efficiency of machining systems in the Slovene workshops, which is reflected in a larger share of manufactured and exported transformation tools, and the creation of new jobs for higher educated staff.

The journal is currently one of the most influential global journals in the field of Production Engineering and Production Management. Open access policy offers many positive effects, including very rapid dissipation of the domestic and foreign research achievements, and the introduction of new knowledge in the industrial environments. In addition, publishing an internationally recognised journal undoubtedly strengthens the reputation of our Institution in the domestic and international scientific communities. C.04 Editorial board of an international magazine
COBISS.SI-ID: 229859072The project, of exceptional social importance, relates to the selection of the most suitable turbine oil, which will be used in the following years on all hydraulic power planes of water turbines on the Drava river. Due to the extremely high total amount of turbine oil (300,000 litres), it was necessary to compare carefully all the important physical and chemical properties of turbine oils, with an emphasis on environmental suitability and the length of their useful lifetime. On the basis of extensive research, we have selected the most suitable oil for long-term rational, economical and safe use among several different types of oils of various manufacturers. The results of the project are of broader social significance, as they relate to the reliable and economical use of turbine oil in a risky environment, in production facilities of extraordinary strategic importance of electricity supply in the region and beyond.

International conference Fludina Tehnika / Fluid Power are the central international conference in this part of Europe. It's organiation since 1995 provides transfer of new insights from the field of Hydraulic Drive Engineering to Slovenia, and in the opposite direction: informing the global professional public about the achievements of domestic researchers. Depending on its mission, it is a conference of great national importance.
