The invention is the bioreactor system for the continuous cultivation of bacteriophages, consisting of an interconnected mixing and tubular bioreactor, through which constant fluid flows. In the mixing reactor, we grow bacterial cells supplied by the constant fluid flow to the nutrient, and are continuously transferred into the tubular bioreactor, infecting them at inlet with purified bacteriophages. In the tubular reactor the propagation of the bacteriophages is carried out, with no addition of new nutrients or active mixing in it. The system is important because it allows constant production of bacteriophages, without their mutation and we can regulate its productivity.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1559949The presentation is based on a decade long research results on non-target analysis where number of compounds present in the sample is unknown. During the method development we are facing several additional problems since it is difficult to decide when the analytical problem is solved since we do not know how many analytes we are trying to separate. During the lecture we have presented some solutions to this problem with emphases on food analysis.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1536616899It is a traditional simposium where main achievements in separation and isolation of biologic macromolecules are presented. It is exchenged every second year between USA and Europe. The conference was organized in Salzburg, Austria in 2016. The conference was chaired by A. Podgornik.

Excellent research and knowledge in the field of heritage science classify us among the leading Slovenian and European researchers in this field. Thus, as reviewers and editors, we contributed to the monograph published by the National Museum of Slovenia (NMS). Such cooperation has high importance for a cultural research institution such as NMS and for our research group, which is part of a higher education institution. Both institutions transfer knowledge to younger generations and spread knowledge about the field of heritage science. The contents of a monograph are offered to the interested public also in the form of an exhibition, which is open from 29.11.2018 to 29.5.2012.
