The social respectability of the farming profession and part-time farms after WWII is an important factor of the socio-economic transformations of farms and consequently of the agrarian landscape transformation in Slovenia. The presentation began with putting the process of deagrarisation and the formation of part-time farms into historic perspective. Further on, results of an analysis of the respectability of the farming profession and part-time farmers were presented. The analysis was based on the public opinion surveys in the period between 1968 and 2003, which reflect on how society dealt with post-war political and economic developments.
