The lecture ‘The needs for the medical interpreting in Slovenian health care system: The case of Chinese in Slovenia’ at the Health Faculty of University of Ljubljana emphasized the importance of intercultural communication and skills in various subsystems of Slovenian public administration. This is not only important for the immigrant groups living in Slovenia but increasingly for tourists from distant regions, e.g. PR China. According to the Strategy for development of Slovenian tourism these markets are growing in importance thus the adequate care for these mobile individuals and groups should be assured not only in strictly tourism activities, but also in other subsystems that come in contact with these populations.
