Important results and know-how that were created within the project was combined into the study material for students who attend the subject Mechanics of Polymers and Composites on II. degree, master's degree at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. Former member of our group, dr. Gonzalez-Gutierrez also gave an introductory lecture for election to the title of assistant professor on this topic to the students of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. With this we enabled the transfer of knowledge generated within the project directly into the learning process.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14787355The aims the 2nd International Conference on Rheology and Modeling of Materials are the fostering of interdisciplinary collaboration and interaction among scientists, researchers, PhD students as well as product and technology developer engineers. The international conference ic-rmm2 provides a platform among leading international scientists, physicists, chemists, mathematicians, researchers, PhD students and engineers for discussing recent achievements in measurement, modeling and application of rheology in materials technology and materials science of liquids, melts, solids, powders, crystals and amorphous structures. At this international conference our group had an invited lecture on the topic of temperature and pressure behavior of solid polymers. Where firstly the historical overview was presented on the development in this fields, followed by presentation of models that are currently been used on one hand for time temperature shifting and on the other hand to model non-linear behavior of solid polymeric materials. In respect to PIM technology this are essential information one needs to take into account when producing parts from feedstock in injection molding machines, where high pressures and temperatures are present.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14271515Danubia Adria Symposium was organized by our group and it highlights the latest innovations, R&D and industrial activities in area of experimental methods in mechanics. It also provides forum for discussion of the latest research results, new developments of concepts and technologies, proven techniques, as well as practical applications and standardization of the experimental methods in mechanics. Main topics on this year's simposium were: • Structural analysis: experimental tests, structural health monitoring, system identification, damage assessment, self-adaptive structures • Material characterization and testing: smart materials, residual stress, fatigue, fracture, creep • Practical applications and case studies • Biomechanics: biomaterials, biomechanics, medical and orthopedic devices, biofluid mechanics • Instrumentation: new sensors and actuators, advanced measurement systems, validation and reliability of instrumentation • Complex systems, integration of mathematical/numerical methods with experimental mechanics • Recent developments in international standardization and technical regulations • Mechanics of time-dependent materials • Polymer processing For this invited lecture the group presented basic principles of time-temperature superposition and also information related to forthcoming standard related to this superposition principle. Time-temperature superposition principle is an essential part of every time-dependent experimental determination of polymeric or in our case metal-polymer composites.

COBISS.SI-ID: 15607323The purpose of the "20th International Workshop on Advances in Experimental Mechanics" is the overview of the status in the field of Experimental Mechanics, coordination and exchange of ideas on research and applications in this field, and possibilities of knowledge transfer in the industry environment. Besides oral contributions of eminent scientists from all around the world, also "younger" participants have opportunity to present their work, to exchange opinions and establish contacts with experts from other research institutions and companies. Within the Workshop part of discussion and presentations were dedicated to flowability and behavior of granulated materials, where also GFA apparatus (Granular Friction Apparatus) was presented as a new experimental technique to determine friction inside granular material.
