The book offers insights in the main currents of contemporary thought about the topics outlined in the title. It consists of seven scientific essays about the following topics: new sensibility and openness for transcendence inside a social context and in the contemporary, foremost French, philosophy (B. Klun); the condition of religion in the modern world and its ethical significance from the point of view of U. Beck, R. Girard (human rights) and solidary personalism (B. Žalec); secondary self, origin of violence in bad interpersonal relationships and education, totalitarian regimes and a purifying role of religion (Juhant); ancient Vedic concept of mecocosm and a Trinitarian thought in various religious traditions (Vedic tradition, Mit(h)ra, and their potential for peace (L. Škof); women's spirituality as a factor of empowering of women individuals and gendered sensibilisation toward others and different (N. Furlan Štante); ethical and epistemological aspects of humility, its importance for a dialogue and its connectedness to religion (V. Strahovnik); misuse of a democratic dialogue and "political gospels" (R. Svetlič).

The paper offers inter-religious and ecumenical vision of Christian hospitality and dialog of theological ecofeminism and calls all christian Churches to embrace the urge for ecumenical hospitality of ecological ethics.
