Together with the Slovenian Centre of Excellence for Space Sciences and Technologies we have developed and implemented a prototype of fully automatic image processing chain that performs all processing steps from sensor-corrected optical satellite images to web-delivered map-ready images and products. The precessing chain includes module for automatic image orthorectification, automatic radiometric corrections, and generation of low level products.

COBISS.SI-ID: 37643309The proposal for a satellite mission to observe the height of clouds won first prize at the UNISEC Gobal conference in Japan in November 2014. The proposed constellations of small satellites uses steroscopic observation for the creation of 3D of volcano and other clouds. The idea has convinced the prestigious international commission due to the high usability and developed technical solutions.
E.02 International awards
A member of a research group is a co-editor of a monograph series Space, Place, Time, published by Založba ZRC. The series publishes short, thematically round scientific studies from the field of contemporary morphometry of space that is based on geographic information systems and remote sensing, as well as on social and cultural constructions of space and time: how people of various periods and regions think about space and time, how we live, feel, create, change and use them.
