Invited lecture, where different approaches for imaging cysteine cathepsins were presented. These included small molecule fluorescent activity-based probes, targeted liposomes and also DARPins.
B.04 Guest lecture
COBISS.SI-ID: 28550695In this Master thesis, a stefin A Asp61Cys mutant was prapared and found to inhibit both mouse and human cathepsins S and B. In addition, liposomes, conjugated to this stefin A mutant were prepared and their binding to cathepsins S and L confirmed in vitro. Finally, such liposomes were found to enter U87 cells, suggesting that the system may also work in cells.
