COBISS.SI-ID: 22866662From 18th to 20th of September 2014 the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana hosted 26th Annual Conference of the European Association of Labour Economists. Over 440 participants from 33 countries presented high-quality research on labour market issues, mobility, migration and regional labour markets, income distribution, education, training and human capital, job and life satisfaction, retirement, welfare, health, personnel economics as well as program and policy evaluation. Apart from discussions and research collaborations the three keynote speakers: Oriana Bandiera (London School of Economics), Jan van Ours (Tilburg University) and Lawrence F. Katz (Harvard University) additionally discussed relevant topics in labour economics. Youth unemployment and its incidences and consequences had been recognized and addressed in plenary and parallel sessions as well as at the round table chaired by Jan Svejnar (Columbia University) especially addressed the contemporary challenges of youth Unemployment in Europe.

COBISS.SI-ID: 34150749Author defines four essential (fundamental) elements of insolvency law, namely: (1) the purpose and objectives of insolvency law, (2) the timely commencement of insolvency proceedings, (3) the relationship between winding up and financial reorganization proceedings and (4) the issue of the (re)distribution of preinsolvency entitlements. With the use of interdisciplinary research methods, the author has analyzed the anatomy of corporate insolvency law and on this basis made an assessment of the international comparability of insolvency law systems of four major representatives of legal families namely U.S and England as representatives of the common law system, France as the representative of the roman (civil) law family and Germany as the representative of the German (civil) law family.
