A method for elaboration of surfaces of containers and pipette tipses with ionic plasma was elaborated. Such material suppresses adhesion of extracellular vesicles to surfaces and thereby increases isolate yields.

COBISS.SI-ID: 28412967Mechanisms were presented that determine shape of red blood cells. These mechanisms include the difference between the outer and the inner membrane layer areas and lateral distribution of membrane constituents. If highly anisotropic membrane constituents accumulate in a given region, the membrane exhibits budding and developmen of membranous nanostructures with physiological roles. The described mechanims were theoretically described.

COBISS.SI-ID: 20953608The aim of this paper is to present a survey on the current status of wastewater treatment systems in 11 central and eastern European (CEE) countries, with a focus on rural areas and on small treatment wetlands for settlements of below 2,000 people. The results indicate that CEE countries have insufficient sanitation systems with different performance efficiencies. These differences stem from the different historical, political and economic developments as well as legislation in the previous five to six decades. CEE settlements with less than 2,000 inhabitants represent almost 30.0 % of the overall number of persons living in CEE countries. These data show that CEE countries have a mainly rural character, but this is slowly decreasing. Over 42 million inhabitants are waiting for proper sanitation systems. This requirement will be evergrowing in the next future, and it is important to know and to prepare appropriate steps for progressive realisation.

COBISS.SI-ID: 31737049Organization of a summer school entitled 'Cities of the Future' within the project 'Internationalization of Higher Education'. In the frame of this event we co-organized with UL FGG and were editors of the scientific book with the title 'Cities of the Future'. The project was supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the RS and the European Social Fund. The Seminar was intended to exchange information and knowledge on innovative approaches towards low-carbon society, sustainable use of natural resources and integrated management of water food and energy in cities, which is becoming an extremely important for life quality. The Courser was given by established experts in the area.
