This report addresses CLCC (closed loop combustion control) system that was developed in cooperation with Hidria. The main objective of the CLCC demonstrator was analysis and demonstration of the capabilities of the pre-series glow plug pressure sensor (denoted Optymus Pressure Sensing System) aimed at high volume series production. In addition, the demonstrator was used to investigate capabilities of the glow plug pressure sensor to reduce engine emissions while simultaneously maintaining or even improving engine efficiency. This report thus partly contributed to the very prestigious the First Award for Best Innovation in Green Technologies that was awarded to the Hidria by the CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers).

COBISS.SI-ID: 13806619The report summarizes the results of the three-year project funded by the European Commission (FluMaBack, Nos. 301782, SP1-JTI-FCH.3), where we participated in the analysis of the life cycle assessment (LCA) of the system components uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) based on fuel cells. The study was conducted for 3 kW system. The aim of the study was to determine the environmental impact of the UPS system throughout its life cycle: construction, operation and decommissioning. Special attention was paid to hydrogen technology, which on the one hand is demanding in terms of recycling, on the other hand, they contain a number of expensive materials such as platinum in the catalyst. Special attention was paid to the new recycling processes, which enable gaining useful raw materials for new products. The results of the study were used to provide new standards and guidelines EOLA (end of life assessment) for UPS systems with PEM fuel cells.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14147099Cavitation and thermosensible fluids - CATHEF is a project funded by the European Space Agency (ESA). Among the large number of entries only 10 projects were selected, our project being the only technology-oriented. It is developing a method for accurate temperature measurements in cavitation, as it occurs in the rocket engine turbopumps. The project was successfully completed in November 2015. In the same year, on the basis of good cooperation, ESA entrusted to a new project where we develop a method of cavitation erosion prediction - the final application of the method is the development of new pumps for stage 2 of Ariane 6 rocket engine.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14169883Within the 7th EUR Framework project Crops a robotic sprayer was developed. Robotic spray detected the occurrence of disease and their positions within the orchard. The robotic sprayer was able to successfully treat diseased areas with plant protection products. The robotic sprayer was used in the greenhouse. This was the first successful implementation of agricultural robot in the world, which detected locations and the occurrence of disease, sprayed diseased locations and thereby suppressed the disease. Within the project we have led the working group for precision spraying. The total value of the project amounted to 9 M €, while the work group for precision spraying budget was 1 M €.
