COBISS.SI-ID: 274200576In this patent we described how cysteine cathepsins are suitable targets for targeted delivery of imaging agents and drugs to the inflammation site in disease, in particular cancer, and protected a delivery system based on targeting of cathepsin B at the inflammation site by a liposomal system conjugated to a small molecule cathepsin B inhibitor. The imaging agent, and possibly drug, are encapsulated in the lysosome.
