The article sheds light upon the biography of Pavla Jesih, who was the biggest cinema entrepreneur in Yugoslavia in the 1930s and also one of the most successful alpinists worldwide. She presents a female figure, who prospered in the activities traditionally dominated by men population. After World War II she was accused of collaboration with the occupation regime on a show trial and consequently publicly marginalized.
