Through historical sources relevant for demographic studies, the authors determined the trends of transnational marriages in Ljubljana at the turn of the century. The paper focus on three particular parishes within the city and a village parish which became a city parish only after the First World War.

COBISS.SI-ID: 61274466The contribution presented the activities of Minka Skaberne, at first a teacher in Ljubljana, who dedicated her life to the work for the blind. Apart from numerous lectures, publications, and extended voluntary work in the field she laid institutional foundations for the blind, namely for the humanitarian society for the blind in Ljubljana and the library for the blind, which has been named after her.
