Prof. Aoki Saburo from the University of Tsukuba invited the researcher to visit the university, make a presentation and conduct joint research. The researcher presented most relevant aspects and results of the research on collocations as well as possibilities to use collocation analysis of large-scale data as a methodology to inspect current sociolinguistic trends, public attitudes toward some phenomena (for example, different usage of terms »nuclear« and »atomic« and sociolinguistic background out of it). The visit played an important role in further fostering interuniversity collaboration between the University of Ljubljana and University of Tsukuba. Besides that, the host, members of his labaratory and the researcher agreed to propose an international research project on critical discourse analysis using large-scale data.

This gap is also found if research of Slovene is compared, connected or applied to other languages.
C.06 Editorial board membership
The researcher actively participated in the organization of the 14th International Conference EAJS (European Association for Japanese Studies). The conference was successfully organized in collaboration with the EAJS board at the Faculty of Arts of 27-30. August 2014. There were around 900 participants. The researcher mainly worked on the preparation of the initial proposal for the selection of host university, on the organization and accompaning of the invited speakers and the most important guests of the conference, as well as the organization and conducting of trip tours for invited professors and other important guests.
