In this work we presented our findings to the scientific community. These findings are related to the prerequisites regarding morphological and chemical properties of supported bimetallic catalysts so they can function efficiently during thermally and thermodynamically unfavorable conditions of methane dry reforming reaciton.

COBISS.SI-ID: 5547802The oral presentation, given at this international conference discussed our rationale behind design of advanced multifunctional transition metal based catalysts. Results of preliminary tests were used to set the direction for steering the chemical composition of the catalysts towards stable and coke free operation. Results of several advanced characterization techniques which were applied to the investigated catalysts were also discussed, describing the phenomena occurring on the surface of catalysts. Altogether, a rational design of catalyst development was presented which enables stable operation without coke accumulation using dry methane and CO2 feeds.

COBISS.SI-ID: 5503258This european patent application covers synthesis conditions and chemical composition of transition metal catalysts that are capable of selectively converting a wide range of model biogas compositions into syngas without coke accumulation. This is important for commercialization of our knowledge and bridging the gap between academia and industry. We are currently very active in the commercialization of this invention.
