In this paper, we present a miniature multi-channel sensor detection system, based on chemically functionalized COMB micro-capacitors, low noise integrated electronics and digital signal processing. The idea of this work is to measure vapor traces of different materials simultaneously using array of sensors, analog signal processing electronics, as well as appropriate digital signal processing hardware, algorithms and the software. In this article the complete architecture and implementation of a multi-channel sensor measurement system is explained together with DSP and software algorithms.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10813012In this work we describe high level Matlab model of a sensor system for vapor trace detection of target molecules in the air using array of differently functionalized capacitive sensors and extremely sensitive electronic detection system. The model includes a simple model of adsorption/desorption process together with high level model of a low noise analog and digital signal processing electronics. The proposed model makes possible to study the selectivity and sensitivity of the sensor system in an efficient way and forms the basis for efficient design of modules of the sensor system for vapor trace detection of different molecules in the air.
