The confraternity altar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the parish church in Piran was being researched. It was found out that about the middle or in the second half of the 18th century the confraternity had it “modernized” and its upper part embellished with figural stucco work. Comparisons reveal that the stucco is a work by Giuseppe Monteventi from Bologna who was, otherwise, also active in Istria and Dalmatia.
