The paper addresses the relationship between the planning and realisation in the Slovenian environment. Following the trends from elsewhere, a great number of plans appeared in Slovenia promoting the »great historical leap«. The most obvious in this regard is the aspiration to look upon the model of the Soviet Union in mid-20th century. The realisations, however, led to great disillusionments.

Srečko Kosovel was one of the central figures in the 20th century Slovenian poetry. In his conception of constructivism he followed the basic principles of Russian constructivism and developed them within the frames of his own poetics. The latter did not exclude other creative paradigms, but rather included them into a constructivist scheme. The core of the study is focused on the impact of Russian literature and culture on the opus of Kosovel.

The essay analyses the differences between the standard and revisionist interpretations of the revolutions of the 20th century. It examines the Russian revolution and its impact on the events in the Slovenian lands. The analysis of the 20th century revolutions clearly shows the need to historicise the thinking of the past events, although this process is still barely present in Slovenia.
