Two senior members of the group (Dr. Blaž Zupan and Dr. Janez Demšar) lectured a course in data mining for doctoral students at the Baylor College of Medicine.
B.05 Guest lecturer at an institute/university
We have extended Orange to handle data of extreme sizes, such as tens of terabytes. This work was done primarily in collaboration with 2nd Quadrant (UK), one of the greatest contributors to the open source database PostgreSQL, with whom we changed the way Orange handles data base queries and developed PostgreSQL functionality for queries on samples. We have also began development of function required for use of Orange for analysis of high-dimensional data coming from particle accelerators like those in Soleil (Paris) and Elettra (Trieste).

In 2015, the members of the project team, together with some other colleagues from the Faculty of Computer Science established Frižider, a maker space for pre-university youth interested in computer science, robotics, physics and other fields of technology and science
