In Slovenia, farm tourism is among the most important supplementary activities on farm. On the other hand, its role within tourism sector is rather modest. The paper approaches the phenomenon of farm tourism from tourism supply and demand perspectives. Employed qualitative methods involved farm tourism holders and potential tourists on farm. The results have pointed out that the occurrence of tourist farms is primarily the result of farmers' needs and opportunities, and only on the second place of expressed demand of tourism market. Farm tourism supply and demand factors are interrelated in a rather complex way. Supply is only selectively influenced by (perceived) demand since farm tourism providers stick to extant idea/image of farm tourism and they are not putting it in question. In this way they also affect tourism demand since they shape a specific construct/image of farm tourism which attracts only some types of tourists.

In Ljubljana, the air pollution by NO2 is mainly caused by transportation. The article focuses on traffic-related air pollution in three different types of urban space: urban background, open space near the roads, and street canyon. The measurement of concentrations perpendicular to the main city street is also presented. We compare the results of NO2 measuring campaigns in Ljubljana during the summers of 2005 and 2013. We seek to explain the reasons for the differences in the pollution of diverse urban space types and for the significant decrease of concentrations in all types of urban space.

The main objective of the paper is the analysis of population change and spatial development of the settlements in the southern part of the Ljubljana urban region. The southern part of the Ljubljana urban region was defined as the area comprising the municipalities of Borovnica, Brezovica, Log-Dragomer, Ig and Škofljica. This area can be divided into nearby suburbs, suburbanised settlements, and rural settlements. We wanted to find out if there were differences in the population and spatial development of settlements in the areas so defined, and if there were any significant changes in the population development of settlements after 2002.

After more than 30 years, the Gorenjska region is again comprehensively presented in a scientific monograph, which are members of the program group, contributed significant input in content and editorial contributions. The content of the scientific monograph reflects the state in the geography profession, where recently the specific, empirical in-depth studies are having the leading role. In the case of regional research the classic geographic approach is being replaced by the studies focusing on narrower problematic; the cooperation with other professions is more and more present. The interdisciplinary approach is foreseen also for the future – in the quality of the research as well as in the definition of the solutions and measures where geographers with their broad specter of knowledge have an important role.
