A manual for practicing mindfulness practices entitled NARA programme - strength to professionals through mindfulness (authors: Vita Poštuvan and Alenka Tančič Grum) was published in 2015 by the University of Primorska. It is based on the internationally acclaimed program Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). It is intended for use in the implementation of the program of mindfulness for professionals, who usually come into contact with people in distress within their work, and provides support in the implementation of mindfulness practices and transfering the learned contents into everyday life.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1536963012Vita Poštuvan received the award for scientific excellence of the University of Primorska for the high number of published original scientific articles in the field of suicidology and psychology. The award "Prometheus of science for excellence in communications" is given by the Slovenian Science Foundation to excellent communicators in science – individuals or groups – who are outstanding in effectiveness, persuasive and interesting communication. The recipient of award Vita Poštuvan demonstrates scientific excellence with numerous publications of original scientific and professional articles. It is also important to her to implement practical psychological work: workshops, educations, counselling and psychotherapy.

E.02 International awards
During his International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) presidency, Professor De Leo was successful in creating a World Day for Suicide Prevention under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO). For the first time in the history of the United Nations, this has been organised in occasion of the XXII Congress of the International association for Suicide Prevention, in Stockholm, 10th September and repeated with increasing popularity therein after (yearly event). The event is celebrated in Slovenia each year, from 2014 onwards by participating in the “Cycle Around the Globe” action, which is joined by numerous participants in Slovenia each year.
