The land surveying day is the most recognized professional and scientific event in Slovenia among surveying engineers and professionals, who are working in the fields of geodesy, surveying and related professions. In the introduction, foreign experiences and international trends in the fields of land administration and spatial data infrastructure are presented: Modern land administration systems and status in Switzerland; Cadastral and land registry upgrading activities in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy; Norway digital – the role of the national land survey services in the national spatial data infrastructure in Norway; The new AAA-standard – opportunities and challenges for public administrations in Germany; and Status and challenges of geodesy in Croatia. In the second part of the proceedings, the Slovenian experiences and challenges are outlined – here, activities and challenges of the surveying profession are presented, related to technologic as well as methodologic progress in the profession and science (Recent activities towards a modern geodetic reference system in Slovenia; Application of satellite imagery for Earth observation; Laser scanning of Slovenia for advanced landscape analysis; Use of small unmanned vehicles for spatial data acquisition); additionally, the role and challenges for the public surveying service is discussed (eSpatial programme, Catch-22, land surveyors and geospatial data; Functions of the public surveying service in the independent Slovenia; Opportunities and challenges of the public surveying service in Slovenia).

COBISS.SI-ID: 278950656The target group of information booklet for the measure “Agro-melioration on land consolidation areas” within the Rural Development Program (RDP) in the Republic of Slovenia 2014-2020 are actors of land consolidations and parallel agro-melioration in Slovenia. Within the research project it was noticed, that that there is a missing knowledge about land operations within different actors (public institutions, local communities as well as farmers i.e. land owners). In the publication, the procedures of land consolidations and agro-meliorations are presented, including challenges and limits in the protected areas and finance support options within RDP.
