Members of the research group are involved in the pedagogical work at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering. Beside teaching at the university study programs an important part of their work is mentoring the graduate, master and doctoral thesis.

COBISS.SI-ID: 248476160Members of the research group are actively involved as members of editorial board and as reviewers of the journal Geodetski vestnik. Geodetski vestnik has been published continuously since 1956 and bringing together a wide range of papers on research, theory and professional practice in geodesy, surveying and land management. It is an interdisciplinary journal concerned with technical, social, economic, political, legal, physical and planning aspects of geodesy, surveying, real estate management and spatial planning. From 2007 is Geodetski vestnik included in WoS.

The land surveying day is the most recognized professional and scientific event in Slovenia among surveying engineers and professionals, who are working in the fields of geodesy, surveying and related professions. In the introduction, foreign experiences and international trends in the fields of land administration and spatial data infrastructure are presented: Modern land administration systems and status in Switzerland; Cadastral and land registry upgrading activities in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy; Norway digital – the role of the national land survey services in the national spatial data infrastructure in Norway; The new AAA-standard – opportunities and challenges for public administrations in Germany; and Status and challenges of geodesy in Croatia. In the second part of the proceedings, the Slovenian experiences and challenges are outlined – here, activities and challenges of the surveying profession are presented, related to technologic as well as methodologic progress in the profession and science (Recent activities towards a modern geodetic reference system in Slovenia; Application of satellite imagery for Earth observation; Laser scanning of Slovenia for advanced landscape analysis; Use of small unmanned vehicles for spatial data acquisition); additionally, the role and challenges for the public surveying service is discussed (eSpatial programme, Catch-22, land surveyors and geospatial data; Functions of the public surveying service in the independent Slovenia; Opportunities and challenges of the public surveying service in Slovenia).

COBISS.SI-ID: 278950656The target group of information booklet for the measure “Agro-melioration on land consolidation areas” within the Rural Development Program (RDP) in the Republic of Slovenia 2014-2020 are actors of land consolidations and parallel agro-melioration in Slovenia. Within the research project it was noticed, that that there is a missing knowledge about land operations within different actors (public institutions, local communities as well as farmers i.e. land owners). In the publication, the procedures of land consolidations and agro-meliorations are presented, including challenges and limits in the protected areas and finance support options within RDP.

COBISS.SI-ID: 281839872The goal of the project "Implementation of combined geodetic network and vertical component of ESRS (European Spatial Reference System) in State Geodetic Reference System" is realization of developmental-proffessional tasks in the frame of subproject "Geodetic Reference System" of the main project "Modernization of spatial data infrastructure to reduce risks and impacts of floods", which was partly financed by the NFM/EEA mechanism. The subproject "Geodetic Reference System" was divided into three interdependent assemblies: 1. Establishment of a national combined geodetic network 2. Establishment of the vertical component of the ESRS in Slovenia 3. Determination of the new geoid model in Slovenia Within the first assembly we have estasblished the new national combined geodetic network. It represents the reference basis for the realization of the state coordinate system. Within the second assembly we have established new height system of Slovenia together with the new vertical datum. It is connected to the European height system. Within the third assembly we have prepared the data for the determination of the new geoid model, which was successfuly calculated over the territory of Slovenia. This realized work is the basis for the realization of the new State Reference Coordinate System in Slovenia, as a part of the regional ESRS.
