COBISS.SI-ID: 2277587The article presents an analysis of the dialectal fishing narrative, recorded during an extensive field research in Križ and narrated by Livio Bogatec, the descendant of the fishing family Koča. The recordings were transcribed with the Slovene phonetic system. The introductory part presents the main characteristics of the vernacular of Križ. The author then provides a syntactic analysis of the text, presenting the similarities and deviations form the speech system and the standard language, and explaining the etymology of selected Romance and German loanwords.
