Volčji Grad is a small village in the Kars plateau near Komen, which boasts many interesting remnants from the village’s past. In order to preserve as many material remains and oral stories as possible, the local people are more than willing to transmit narratives to the interested public about the way of life in the past as well as in present times. The paper presents the main turning points, distant and more recent, which defined the history of the village and are still present in the consciousness of the local residents. The emphasis is on the presentation of village activities, which reflect intra-neighbourhood help, solidarity, respect and friendship
