At the 25th European Conference on Biomaterials, ESB 2013 she had a paper on the use of primary cells for the purposes of safety testing of materials being developed for the purpuses of bone tissue regeneration. Well established vasculature is a prerequisite for successfull integration and regeneration of bone tissue, therefore the implanted material should support the survival and growth of vascular cells.

COBISS.SI-ID: 27583783At the 4th International Congress Nanotechnologym Medicine, and Biology, she had a paper on the use of primary cells, including ASC, for purposes of safety testing of materials which are being developed for biomedical purposes. When testing biomaterials it is of crucial importance to choose the most relevant cell type – in most cases, well established vasculature of the tissue is a prerequisite for succesfull integration of a biomaterial, therefore it is important that the biomaterial doesn’t cause negative effects on vascular cells.
