The paper will present the overview of the influence of CLF on nature and how to clean the chips before reuse. Also the transportation of chips will be presented because different sizes of chips cause problems by relationship of too big volume against small weight. Therefore technological parameters for machining in range of right size of chips are an important detail by chip management. As participation to minimize waste by machining some adaptive modern processes will be present too. Cryogenic cutting and high pressure jet cooling assisted machining as sustainable manufacturing will be described. Not only direct visible waste also indirect influences will be described over calculation of cutting forces.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11975963In this study TiAlSiN/TiSiN/TiAlN multilayer nanocomposite hard coating was deposited on the carbide cutting tools by unbalanced magnetron sputtering in industrial deposition system CC800/9 sinOx ML (CemeCon). In order to determine the mechanical properties of the coating, nano-indentation and scratch test was applied on the coating. The cutting tests with coated carbide tools were performed in machining of AISI O2 cold work tool steel. Analysis of the wear was performed using confocal optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in combination with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The wear behaviour of tools protected with the TiAlSiN/TiSiN/TiAlN multilayer nanocomposite coating was compared with uncoated ones and the cutting tools coated with commercially available multilayer TiAlN/TiN PVD hard coating.

COBISS.SI-ID: 12011035The goal of every tool producer is to develop tools, which will manufacture products of high quality. If high speed machining is applied in the manufacturing of tools, also appropriate cutting tools are needed. The tool from alloyed tool steel, hardened and tempered to the hardness of 58 HRC, was machined. Experiments were carried out with endmills from carbides covered with OSG WXS-coating. A suitable technology of mould production was defined. During the research the main focus was the tool wear of the cutting edge. The measurements were used to determine the optimal machining time.
