Different materials and posibilities for production of taylor made cutting tools are offering the industry to choose the cutting tools, not just related to the workpiece material, but also dependent on the machining principles and machine tools. Shown were novel ideas from the field and future directions in industrial field.

COBISS.SI-ID: 13043995Cutting tools have important role in machining process, which also significantly contribute to the success of treatment. Tool wear is a typical phenomenon that can be controlled by technologist, engineer or technician with the proper selection of cutting parameters. The cutting tools are also associated with costs of machining. These can be regulated with the proper use of coolant fluid. In this way we change and improve the tribological properties in contact zone between cutting tool and workpiece and cutting tool and chip. Frictional properties in cutting zone have a significant impact on energy consumption of the process. With proper regulation we can influence on sustainable production. The paper present cutting tool wears, cooling and lubrication of cutting zone.

COBISS.SI-ID: 12559387The paper presents the overview of the influence of CLF on nature and how to clean the chips before reuse. Also the transportation of chips is presented, because different sizes of chips cause problems by relationship of too big volume against small weight. Therefore, technological parameters for machining in range of right size of chips are an important detail by chip management. As participation to minimize waste by machining some adaptive modern processes will be present too. Cryogenic cutting and high pressure jet cooling assisted machining as sustainable manufacturing will be described. Not only direct visible waste also indirect influences will be described over calculation of cutting forces.
