A lecture/talk at a spectroscopic conference; a development 2D and novel 3D quantitative elemental imaging of hard samples (archaeological glass) was presented. The emphasis on 3D imaging was presented, the new imaging method allows for the simultaneous surface and depth information retrieval from the "hard" samples that are impossible to e.g. cut by microtome (concrete, mortar, rocks, glass, etc.) and is suitable for studies of surface phenomena, such as effects of leaching, corrosion, environmental influences.
