The meeting represented the training event of the European FP7 project CASyM (Coordinated Actions Systems Medicine Europe) and was supported by the European Infrastructure programmes ISBE (Infrastructure Systems Biology Europe) and ELIXIR (European Life Sciences Infrastructure). This was a 3.5 day event composed of the workshop From Omics to Understanding the Model Biological Systems and Systems Medicine of Multifactorial Disorders (95 people, 1.5 daye) and a 2-day hands-on Systems medicine tutorial with 13 students. A session where the participating European programmes ISBE and ELIXIR were presented was also included and a round table of systems medicine training initiatives in USA and in Europe was performed. The hands-on tutorial was composed of hands-on work in different mathematical and informatic approaches to medical relevant questions. The workshop and tutorial were accredited with ECTS, CME and SILM credit point that were be awarded likely the first time in Europe for systems medicine.

C.04 Editorial board of an international magazine
As one of the largest scientific organizations in the European community and with the general aim of advancement of research and education for the public benefit in the sciences of biochemistry, molecular biology and related disciplines, FEBS funds a range of scientific and educational events on advanced topics in these areas. FEBS funding of courses is focused on promotion of molecular life sciences in Europe and enhancing collaboration between different regions. The FEBS Advanced Course Committee evaluates the application and decides for their funding in accordance with FEBS rules. The Committee has 8 members from different countries, that were elected by FEBS council from candidates proposed by over 20 member states. Currently D. Rozman is the only Slovenian representative in FEBS organs.
