The guest lecture was organized at the postgraduate school of the University of Bologna. In the lecture, prof. Vidmar Horvat exposed theoretical dillema of citizenship in the contemporary EU and illustrated them with the case of Roma minorities. The lecture was based on most recent theories of global citizenship, identity and the politics of belonging. The audience was informed about the research results of the project which address some basic problems in theories of national and European citizenship. With this lecture at the foreign university, a contemporary social issue was enriched with the research results of Slovene sociology.

COBISS.SI-ID: 47284578Dr. Ksenija Vidmar Horvat in dr. Avgust Lešnik edited scientific monograph of the selected works of professor emeritus dr. Marko Kerševan. The monograph is a review of the most influential essays in the field of general sociology and sociology of religion by which prof. Kerševan in the last four decades significantly shaped national and international social thought. Prof. Lešnik was responsible for the selection of essays which he prepared in collaboration with the author; both editors also were in charge for expert control of the quality of the final publication. The monograph presents a valuable social contribution to the debate on religiosity in the era of postmodern global society.

The journal is published four times a year in English and Croat language and employs blind-peer review system of scientific publications. The journal appears in several international scientific publication bases. The membership marks the recognitionof Slovene sociology in international arena.
