The article presents the pottery finds from Bratonci in Prekmurje. On the bases of the oldest finds, originating from the Early Bronze Age have the authors derived the cultural and historical explanation of the situation at the end of the Copper Age. This was a period when the territory of Eastern Slovenia was again located on the fringes of the Pannonian distribution of the post-vučedol cultural phenomenon, of the Szomogyvár-Vinkovci.

In the article the authors present the multidisciplinary research of the Neolithic and Copper Age on Ljubljana marsh area. In the last two decades the research group, coordinated by A. Velušček established the collaboration with numerous researchers, especially from the field of natural sciences. Established were modern standards where the archaeological and archeozoological research was supplemented with sedimetological and paleobotanical as well as dendrochronological studies.
