The book presents the results of archaeological excavations on the Copper Age site of Turnišče in Prekmurje where features dated to the Early and Middle Copper age were discovered. Reconstruction of pottery forms and the typology of forms present the basics for any future research of Copper Age pottery. The most important discovery was a pit which included a larger number of complete vessels of almost the same volume. They most probably represent the oldest pottery depot discovered in Slovenia and demonstrate at the same time the existence of standardization of pottery production in the Copper Age.

Due to the specific waterlogged environment numerous organic artifacts and ekofacts were preserved – mostly wood enabling numerous analyzes. We have to stress the importance of dendrochronological dating of pile dwellings and the analyses of sedimentation processes which enabled the reconstruction of past environments.
