The article presents the analysis of the animal remains discovered on the archaeological site of Spaha. Among the analyzed remains from the Neolithic and Early Copper Age the remains of domesticated bovids, which were obviously the main source of meat, dominate. It was proposed that the settlers used the surrounding of the site for pasture. The modest representation of skeletal remains of meatiest body-parts demonstrates that the bones were fractured for the purpose of fat extraction.
