Resnikov prekop near Ig is a well-known archaeological site which was more than 4 decades ago excavated in a larger extent by Josip Korošec. It is located on a territory with a variegated geological and archaeological history. The settlement was included in to the so called Sava group and should have existed in the 46th century BC. Later, in the 1st millennium BC the site was damaged by flowing water which washed away numerous prehistoric cultural remains. In different periods the heritage of this archaeological site was interpreted in different ways. The book, edited by Anton Velušček includes numerous archaeological and naturalistic analyses demonstrated the suitable interpretation of the site.
