COBISS.SI-ID: 271154176Niklas Luhmann’s Power is considered to be one of the most significant treatises on political theory in the 20th century. For Luhmann, society is the condition of possibility of power, which means that Luhmann offers a theory of power by way of a theory of society. Power is regarded as a symbolically generalized medium of communication. The translation was edited by Jurij Simoniti, who also wrote the Introduction.

Utilitarianism is an original contribution to the notion of the public, since it is directly concerned with the discrepancy between the generality of laws and privateness of the pleasures of individuals. The work has been translated by Zdenka Erbežnik and Gregor Kroupa, who also edited the volume and wrote the Introduction "Bentham: Public Benefit against Fiction".
